How to: Format borders in Excel.
Solution:
Select 'Style...' from the 'Format' menu and click 'Modify...'. Click the 'Border' tab, then type selections in the 'Border', 'Style' and 'Color' boxes.
NOTE: The formatted border can include either the selected cells or the entire worksheet. To format certain cells, select the cells then follow the steps outlined below.
1) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Style...'. (The Style dialog box appears.)
2) Click 'Modify...'. (The Format Cells dialog box appears.)
3) Click the 'Border' tab.
4) Select the location of the border from the 'Border' box.
5) Select the line style of the border from the 'Style' dialog box.
6) Select the color of border from the 'Color' drop-down list box.
7) Click 'OK' from the 'Format Cells' dialog box. (The Style dialog box appears.)
8) Click 'OK' from the 'Style' dialog box.
